I was scanning my recent Facebook timeline and saw this on my brother's posts. It really got me thinking about what I will be getting into along with 2499 other Riders and over 700 Roadies in a couple day's time.
"What are we here for, if not to help one another? Surely, we didn't come all this way to be comfortable. We didn't travel across so much time and space to impress our neighbors with our fancy cars. And we're certainly not here to sit on the sidelines and watch the world go by...So what are we here for, if not to help one another?" --Ron Atchison
545 miles over 7 days... why would someone in their right mind go through that? Mentally, physically, emotionally, maybe even spiritually? It's a daunting task set before us. It's a task that is worth the pain, sweat, and tears because we have been effected by incredible people like you. People who like us, will face adversity to LIVE for something greater then ourselves. This Cause/Fight for which we ride may outlive some of us, but for the next week, we will fight, we will survive, we will LIVE for each other and do what it takes to bring remembrance and awareness for this who have gone before us and lost their fight against HIV/AIDS.
I hope and pray for safety for EVERYONE who will be out of the Road from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I pray that history will remember us not for any wrongs we have done in the past, but it remembers us for the Good we do these next few Days!
Many Blessings to you all,
Thank You for ALL of the Love and Support!
